The City of West Memphis’s Advertising & Promotion Commission is excited to announce the Great Steak Cook-off is back!!!! The competition is with the cook’s meeting at 10 a.m. at the Eugene Woods Civic Center located at 212 West Polk St. in West Memphis. We are very excited that this year’s ancillary category will be CATFISH, with cooks having a chance to win an additional $200. The Mid-South Great Steak cook-off is the largest SCA sanctioned event in the Mid-South, drawing teams from all over the South and beyond (AR, TN, MS, LA, OK, TX, MI & NY) open to all cooks with national sponsors offering bonus money for winning steaks. In addition to the cooking competition, the cook-off will include live music, cold drinks, and more.
1st place steak taking home $1500, and a total of up to $4,000 in prize money will be up for grabs.
The public is invited to enjoy the FREE fun festivities!
Interested teams are encouraged to register early space is limited, and entry fees are just $150 for two 1 1/8" thick Boneless Choice Ribeye steaks are included in the entry fee. The steaks are provided by the event promoter leveling the competitive playing field.
