CITY OF BLACK ROCK: Black Rock Foothills to be held Nov. 6

City of Black Rock issued the following announcement Oct. 28.

Black Rock Foothills will be Saturday November 6th, 2021, 9am - 6pm.

It will kickoff with the Loins Club Pancake Breakfast going from 5:30am - 9:30am at the Black Rock Community Center (Old Black Rock School Cafeteria)

Booths on Main Street will be open by 9:00am.

Opening Ceremony will be around 10:30 with Mayor Bonnie Ragsdale welcoming everyone.

There is a Dutch Oven Cook-off this year. Setup time is for contestants will be 7:00am - 8:30am. Please call Black Rock City Hall or email geoffrey.havens@gmail.com for rules and entry form.

We will have a Hotdog eating contest at 11:00 by the stage. There will be a signup table by the stage area for this event. $25 First place prize.

Tug-of-War contest will be at 2:00pm down by the old ball field/go kart track. $25 entry fee for a 5 member team of ages 16 years old and up. $20 entry fee for 5 member teams under 16 years old. 50 percent of entry fees goes to the winning teams. There will be a sign up table in that area of the event.

There is going to be a Breast Cancer Awareness Pumpkin Smashing down past the stage.

Black Rock Business of the Year and Black Rock Volunteer of the Year will be announced and presented around 2:30 on the stage.

We will have live music, dancing, Martial Arts, clogging and much more.

Much more events and activities going on all day. Come join us and enjoy all the events going on that day.

The Black Rock Vol. Fire Department will be having a Community Lunch Sunday starting at 11:30 in the Black Rock Community Center. $8 per person. This is one of the Black Rock Fire Departments fund raisers, so come out and support your Black Rock Vol. Fire Department.
