The Williams women's basketball team extended their win streak to nine games after an 81-73 win over the Stephens College Stars on Saturday afternoon in the SMC.The Lady Eagles took a one-point lead into halftime, and had to be tough down the stretch in order to get the win over the Stars. Williams had a three-point lead heading into the final quarter of play, and they made clutch baskets and free-throws to put the game out of reach for the Stars. Williams shot 44% from the field (26-59), 56% from the three-point line (9-16), and 64.5% from the free-throw line (20-31).Kaylee Clark led all scorers with 23 points. Monica Horne collected her seventh double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Also in double figures for the Lady Eagles was Tristan Richards with 16, Reesa Hampton with 13, and Nijah Moore with 11. Up NextThe Lady Eagles continue their homestand on Thursday, Jan. 19 as they host Columbia College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
