The Williams women's basketball team defeated the Trinity Christian College Trolls 74-69 in their final game at the GSU Winter Classic.
It was a close game for the Lady Eagles, as they outscored the Trolls 15-14 in the first quarter and 19-16 in the second quarter to take a four-point lead into halftime. The Trolls came out of halftime and outscored the Lady Eagles 23-19 to tie the game at 53 heading into the final ten minutes of play. Williams went on a 9-2 run to start the fourth quarter. Trinity Christian battled back and cut the lead to two points with under four minutes left to play and that is the closest they would get to the Lady Eagles.
