WILLIAMS BAPTIST COLLEGE ATHLETICS: Late Offensive Surge Sends Eagles to AMC Semifinals

Three goals in the final eleven minutes of the game send the Williams men's soccer team to the AMC Semifinals with a 3-0 win over the Central Baptist Mustangs.

The Eagles had plenty of chances most of the game, but could never seem to find the back of the net. That all changed in the 79th minute when Gabriel de Paula finally found the back of the net off a pass from Gabriel Otero, much to the ecstasy of Eagles fans in the stands.

Then in the 86th minute, the Eagles draw a foul inside the penalty box and are awarded a penalty kick. Otero steps up to take it and slots it home neatly to double the Eagles lead.

Finally in the dying minute of the game, the AMC Player of the Year Lucas Camilo delivers the final blow when he scores off a pass from Tiago Alfieri.

The Eagles outshot the Mustangs 21(13) - 6(5).

Alejandro Perez played in goal for the Eagles and collected five saves in the win.
