The Williams volleyball team was picked to finish 10th in the Preseason American Midwest Conference Poll, as announced on Tuesday morning by the leagues. The Lady Eagles received 25 points and placed ahead of Harris-Stowe State.
Williams has several new faces on the squad this year, most of them freshman. They will be a young team looking to prove themselves this year. They are lead by returning outside hitters Molly Henson and Morgan Feltrop and setter Sydney Burgin, but look to fill the loss of defensive specialist and libero Elaine Blackmon.
The Lady Eagles kick of the 2022 campaign with a two-day tournament in Bowling Green, Ky. on Aug. 19-20. They play Blue Mountain at 9 am and Brescia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, they play Mobile at 2 p.m. and Truett-McConnell at 4:30 p.m.
