8/10/22 UPDATE: The power outage that occurred yesterday evening, August 9, was due to a bird perched on a steel support structure, opened its wings, and came into contact with an energized part of the system. In doing so, the bird became a bridge between two separated pieces of electric equipment and caused an arc, triggering a power outage. This cutoff was part of an enhanced power line safety setting. We apologize for the inconvenience.
