In June 2022, the U.S. Census Bureau launched a new, one-time 2020 Post-Census Group Quarters Review (PCGQR) program to provide eligible local governments, including counties, parishes and boroughs, the opportunity to request reviews of population counts of group quarters they believe were not counted correctly as of April 1, 2020.
This program was created in response to public feedback related to counting quarters’ populations during the unprecedented COVID-19 public health emergency.
