City of West Memphis issued the following announcement on June 8.
Contractors working with the West Memphis Utilities will be in the area of Missouri St. to N. Avalon, W. Barton to W. Service Rd., Dover Rd. to Balfour and N. Avalon to Baylor, to replace electric meters starting on Tuesday, June 14 for our new automated meter pilot program. West Memphis Utilities has contracted with ANIXTER and will be identified by their vehicle door magnets and IDs issued by the West Memphis Utilities Department. Residents in this area are asked to please unlock their gates and have their pets put up.
We anticipate the installation to run thru June 30th in your area. Your cooperation is appreciated. The information gained from this study will be used to improve your utility services.
