Job Description
GMI Computing is recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Bitcoin Mining operator to direct the building and running of our Mining Farm. The engineer is responsible for creating productive and efficient mining operations. Duties for the site operator includes, but is not limited to, arranging miners, routine cleaning, repairing/ fixing miners that may involve taking apart control board, hashing board, power cord, and fan, monitoring mining container temperature, following policy and safety procedures for fixing miners, engaging with site manager and other site operators. Other focuses include minimizing hazards, preparing miner uptime report and monitoring miners uptime figure, designing, and planning workstations, testing equipment.
Your operation skills will be vital to our overall business operations. We seek to create excellent and safe working conditions and environments for both staff and clients. The ideal candidate for this role should possess good communication skills, hands on hardware electronics repair skills and understanding to fix problems on his own. The outstanding site operator must understand the technical aspects of cryptocurrency mining, support day-to-day business operations, ensure efficient operation of miners, mitigate risk, and ensure that mining operations meet the needs of clients.
Responsibilities
● Extensive miner repair and troubleshooting
● Manage/troubleshoot network connection
● Ensure secure, stable, efficient, and standardized mining operations
● Follow guidance and reporting that measures all critical features of mining operations
● Proactively identify potential operational problems or deficiencies and offer solutions
● Perform maintenance of the mining facilities such as ensuring proper cooling system functioning
● Responsible for deployment
● Own all functions related to operational wellbeing, including troubleshooting malfunctions
● Coordinate maintenance and repairs
● Other duties as assigned
Requirements
● Experience with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining and
infrastructure
● Prior experience with electronic repair/ troubleshoot
● Electronic board soldering
● Experience with all aspects of network maintenance and
management
● Strong interpersonal skills
● Excellent communication skills
● Good problem-solving skills
● Highly organized
