Newport Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Mar. 26.
Arkansas Center for Independence in Newport is currently seeking applicants with open minds and open hearts to work with adults with developmental disabilities. All applicants must be willing to work all shifts including night and weekends.
Must be able and willing to assist with daily chores, cooking, hygiene and outings. Must have a valid AR driver's license, pass a criminal background check, adult and child maltreatment background checks and drug test. Those with previous care-giver experience such as home health or CNA license are strongly encouraged to apply. Starting pay is $14 to $16 / hour based on experience.
Applications can be picked up at More Old Treasures located at 1019 Malcolm Avenue in Newport or at the ACI Day facility at located at 8149 Curtner Drive in Newport.
