ARKANSAS NORTHEASTERN COLLEGE: JAG High School Students Tour ANC

School

Arkansas Northeastern College issued the following announcement on Mar. 2.

South Pemiscot JAG program visited ANC on February 28th and March 1st. On Monday, twenty-eight 7th and 8th grade JAG students toured the Center for Allied Technologies with ANC staff members, Stacey Walker, Brandi George, Emily Crosskno Damon Richardson, and Destinee Dilliard. Students arrived at 9:00 am and did hands-on demonstrations in the Aviation Complex, Construction Lab, Welding Lab, Hydraulics Lab, and used the TransferVR Headsets. The activities included learning how to operate a forklift, change a prop on an airplane, hammer nails, MIG welding, hydraulics demonstration, and they even learned how to change the oil in a vehicle virtually.

Today, 35 students did the same hands-on demonstrations in the Center for Allied Technologies, and we added medical professions with a demonstration of first aid CPR and a tour of the ANC Allied Health building.

At the end of the demonstrations, the group went to the Sunroom to play games and interact with the ANC faculty and staff. Thank you, Jamie Carlie and Jeanie Dent for bringing over your students!
