Newport Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 23.
Newport Information Technology Center | Newport, AR: The City of Newport and the Newport Economic Development Commission will use DRA funds to construct a parking lot for the Newport Information Technology Training Center. The lot will be constructed on the property that was the site of the former Harris Hospital/DHS Office. This investment is projected to assist in the training of 400 individuals over the next five years.
