St. Cecilia Church – Newport issued the following announcement on Jan. 19.
Parishioners, I just came positive with COVID. I contract the virus on the plane or after returning to Batesville because the sisters and I all tested negative last Friday before we traveled, a requirement for international travel. The sisters are still negative and will assume parish responsibility until I return next Tuesday, January 25th. Pray for me. I continue to pray for you guys. Take care of yourselves.
