Newport Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Jan. 19.
Construction has started on Newport's Tech Depot, a $3 million state-of-the-art Information Technology (IT) training facility that is a partnership between the Newport Economic Development Commission, ASU-Newport and the Arkansas Center for Data Sciences! This facility will help us create a world class IT workforce to attract technology companies to Newport and the region. The Tech Depot building will be completed in mid-2023. Special thanks to the Federal Economic Development Administration for the grant to make this project happen and to White River Planning and Development District for writing the grant and administering the project. #brightfuture #NEDC ASU-Newport Arkansas Center for Data Sciences #techdepot
