Newport Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 18.
Arkansas Center for Independence in Newport is currently seeking applicants with open minds and open hearts to work with adults with developmental disabilities. Open positions are available on 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends. Hours vary based on the assigned location and rotate on a 3 week schedule.
Must be able and willing to assist with daily chores, cooking, hygiene and outings. Must have a valid AR driver's license, pass a criminal background check, adult and child maltreatment background checks and drug test. Pay is based on experience. Those with previous care-giver experience such as home health or CNA license are strongly encouraged to apply. Pay will be based on experience and could be up to $16/hr
