City of Black Rock issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.
Foothills is getting closer, actually, it’s just around the corner in a few weeks. If you haven’t heard, Black Rock Foothills is on Saturday, November 6th, 2021. It will start off with the Black Rocks Loins Club with their Pancake Breakfast starting at 5:00am and going till 9:30am.
Booth vendors will be setting up on Main Street are will be open at 9:00am. (All vehicles must be off this portion of Main Street by 8:45).
There are going to be all types of activities and games for the whole family. These is also a great time to just come out and see friends and to set around and just visit. And you can even make new friends.
Opening ceremony will be around the 10:30am mark.
We are having Hotdog Eating Contest again this year so be ready to sign up and eat a “bunch” of hotdogs. In a certain time of course.
There is going to be a Tug-of-War competition. Gather your team of 5 members and get ready to show everyone who can pull the hardest.
One thing we want to mention is the Dutch Oven Cookoff. For rules and entry form, just contact Black Rock City Hall or Geoff Havens, (geoffrey.havens@gmail.com) to have the entry form emailed to you so you can get registered for the Dutch Oven Cookoff.
Just a reminder, we just have a few booth spaces left so contact Black Rock City Hall to reserve you a spot. We will be passing more information along about other events and activities, so be watching.
