City of West Memphis recently issued the following announcement.
#trashtalktuesday West Memphis homeowner’s garbage will soon be whisked away by a "one-armed bandit”. The City of West Memphis’s Sanitation Department now has a new, more efficient way of collecting your trash containers.
On collection days, we asked that residents place their container as close to the curb as possible and with a space of four feet between the container and parked vehicles, mailbox, trees, or other obstacles. The trash truck driver can then safely pick up and place back the container in the same location.
Collecting trash from additional cans is possible as long as the personal cart is a Heavy Duty “Garbage man ready” Trash Can with recessed upper lift pocket and lower lift bar for fully automated and semi-automated collection systems and must not exceed 96 gallons. #winningstreak
