Newport Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 13.
Have you had your COVID vaccine? Are you willing to let others know you are vaccinated? If so, then you are the perfect person to join the Jackson County Hot Shots Team! We have “I GOT MY COVID-19 VACCINE!” bracelets for members of the Team to wear!
Wear your bracelet to let others know that getting the vaccine was important for you, for your family, for your job, and for your business.
Wear your bracelet to get discounts at local businesses! Starting next Monday (August 16), some local businesses will be offering discounts for patrons who are wearing their Jackson County Hot Shots Team bracelet. Check the Newport Economic Development Commission and the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook pages.
If your business is willing to offer something for customers who are wearing the Team bracelet, please let us know. You can offer a percentage off of purchase, a free drink with the purchase of a meal, or any other discount or gift you’d like to provide.
Come to the NEDC/Chamber offices to get your bracelet and join the Jackson County Hots Shots Team. If you have a group in your business who want bracelets, just call and we’ll deliver them to you!

If you would like for your business to be part of the Team and offer a gift or discounts to people who wear their "I Got My COVID-19 Vaccine" bracelets into your business, just call us (870-523-3618) or email us (director@newportaredc.org) and let us know the discount or gift you want to offer.
We will start posting the discounts on the Newport Economic Development Commission and the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook pages on Monday, August 16th.
We will update the discount post each business day with any new discounts or gifts being offered.
